With his characteristic brilliance and practicality, Sunny Faronbi builds a case for how humility can help you win in life and in business. His case studies and practical exercises teach us how to continuously foster a deeper level of humility into our lives and reap previously unforeseen benefits. This book is very thought provoking!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was well written and captivating. It is like a manual or guidebook for success in life. I often find myself reflecting on my actions, and how I come across as a leader and teacher, a wife and a mother. I love the practical examples Sunny uses, as they are relatable. The principles that he shares are of practical application. His own humility comes out in his writing and he provides a good example to follow. I will recommend this book to my friends and family, as a tool for leadership training, and as part of our small groups curriculum at our church. This is a must read!

Nothing Higher is an inspiring read, teaching impactful focus to all aspects of one’s life where being humble and grateful can help you become a more rounded person. Written in one of the most humble ways I’ve read to date, Sunday uses global, real-world examples he’s collected from many sources (quoted concepts, personal and professional interactions) to teach these concepts through other’s examples. At the end of each chapter, I found the “What You Can Do” section to be exactly what I needed to help start anything I wanted to change or improve in myself, making this book even more insightful and fulfilling. I very much enjoyed this book, and will suggest it to my coworkers and friends!

The information shared in this book is just what I needed as a booster to continue my journey to higher heights. This book has allowed me to challenge myself on a spiritual level, as each day I intentionally aim to practice humility. Thank you Sunny for sharing this book with me. I most definitely will be sharing it with others.

Reading this book had a big impact on me. I wish I had read it earlier in my career. Tears came to my eyes when I realized that through my own arrogance, I had created terrible problems for myself at work. I even lost a job due to my lack of humility and lack of self-control of my emotions.
Now I have insight and positive steps to become more humble to overcome these issues in my career.
— Jean Duffy, Papillion, NE.
The book held my interest and it was not difficult to read. It was very thought provoking and very engrossing with shared real-life experiences on why it is very important to be humble as human and treat every human being with dignity as it adds value to life and also commands respect because no one knows it all.
Humility is the watchword.
Nothing Higher is a must read for everyone because it touches every aspect of human lives and it is a book that will never become obsolete.
— Adekunle Ayoade, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Nothing Higher provides an opportunity for deep personal introspection. Sometimes in the midst of chaos, true peace can be found through examining our own actions and even our unspoken motives. This takes humility and we can increase our humility by recognizing our own shortfalls and willingly learning from others.
— Mary Coleman, Bellevue, NE.
Don’t judge the book by its cover is the English idiom that advises one to defer judgment of something or someone until that thing or person has been thoroughly learned and understood. So, given the many excerpts of this book that I read, I was convinced that it would be a hard moral text to read.
To my surprise, the book turned out to be very interesting - easy to read and follow. Sunday Faronbi researched the topic of Humility thoroughly and elucidated it very well. He explained clearly how being humble will definitely benefit the person who is humble and the recipients of his humble attitude no matter what the setting. He drew his illustrative examples and situations from all walks of life, even his personal experiences.
As a Christian, I can’t but draw parallel of the messages of this book and the lessons it is teaching with all that Jesus Christ enjoined every follower of him to practice and to be full of.
What makes this book a recommended must read and must retain is that it enables the reader to deduce a step-by-step approach to attaining relational excellence. First, one needs to make himself or herself humble. For with humbleness comes patience, then understanding, then love, and love draws more humbleness till excellence results.
— Tiwalade Obisesan, Sugar Land, TX.
The Author shed new lights on the misconstrued subject of humility. He defined it as an unpopular route (descending in order to soar) that leads to success in business, career, marriage and every other area of life.
For every individual who wants to flourish on all fronts at a time like this, when knowledge is on the increase in an unprecedented fashion in the history of mankind, something extra is required to make one standout from among the highly learned and skilled. This is the focus of this book. Humility, as defined in “Nothing Higher,” is a gift that creates opportunities and open doors for you. Even in a crowded space, it would make room for you!
Real life scenarios painted throughout the book is etched in my heart to guide me as I wade through the waters of life. This book is a must-read for everyone going places!

I thoroughly enjoyed Nothing Higher and plan to re-read it regularly, as part of my personal development routine. I found it thought provoking, challenging and practical; with great application steps. The principles extend beyond those needed to be an exceptional leader, applying to everyone universally. Nothing Higher is a book that should be read by everyone who wants to achieve success in various endeavors. In this book, we learn of a world where humility reigns supreme. The book exposes the price of humility, the benefits as well as the opportunity cost. It was written in a story-like style that promises to keep the reader captivated and inspired. It teaches achievement and sustenance of leadership through humility.
Nothing Higher portrays how the lives of certain noteworthy individuals were staired into successful life outcomes by their embracing true humility as a virtue. It provides the context to examine the characteristics of humble people and motivates the reader to perform inward self-diagnostics to determine the existence or absence of these qualities. In order to achieve greatness in this life, an individual needs to possess an attitude that is “low or close to the ground”. The highest attainable goal in life is true humility. There’s nothing higher!
— Prince Ibe, Antioch, CA.
Nothing higher is a book that teaches about those principles of life in general. It is like an instructional manual/ handbook of life. It helps us to pay closer attention to things we generally don’t. It touches on all areas of life like relationships, communication, and personal growth. As I was reading through the book, I feel like I am reading from the book of Proverbs in the Bible. I encourage people to read the book. I promise it will bless your life as it has for me.
— Ajibola Soladoye, Pensacola, FL
Nothing Higher is definitely a book I would read again and for sure will recommend it to my friends, colleagues and clients that’s looking for a good, practical read for personal growth.
It was so relatable, and personally I found myself getting lost in many of the stories. One in particular caused me to stop and ponder- “Without humility you are unable to learn,” by Lazlo Bock. While I consider myself to be a life-long learner, I have never connected learning with humility. Thank you for helping me have a teachable spirit and aim higher.
